Another post about LILAC. Geoff Walton gave a paper at LILAC 2012 about ‘Three Spheres of Information Literacy.’ The three spheres are: evaluate / use / find.
Walton asked those who attended the talk to rate each sphere in order of importance. Then he also asked the subscribers of LIS-Infoliteracy discussion list to rate the spheres. The results are interesting and are given in the below article –
How would you rate the three spheres? Which one is most important – knowing how to find information or knowing what to do with that information when its found or being able to judge the information itself?
