LILAC 2018 saw the unveiling of a new definition of information literacy by CILIP Information Literacy Group (ILG).
The new definition reads “Information literacy is the ability to think critically and make balanced judgements about any information we find and use. It empowers us as citizens to reach and express informed views and to engage fully with society”.

LILAC 2017 was hosted by Swansea University, and took place on 10th-12th April 2017.
